Nutrition at Willows Farm Day Nursery & Pre-School
Good food fuels happy explorers – and at Willows, we take that seriously.
All our meals are freshly cooked on-site by our wonderful kitchen team. Every menu is designed to give children a healthy, balanced mix of flavours, textures, and nutrients, without added sugar or salt. If your child has dietary needs or allergies, we’ll happily adapt their meals – just chat to us and we’ll make sure everything is right for them.
We run a three-week rotating menu, so children enjoy variety while still having familiar favourites. Parents can view the menu at any time to help plan meals at home. View a sample menu.
For babies, we provide complimentary formula milk as part of your nursery fees. We use one trusted brand, but if your baby needs something different, a member of our team will happily support you with alternatives.

Our Food Philosophy
Food should be fresh, colourful, and something children genuinely enjoy. At Willows, mealtimes are part of the learning journey – a moment to try new flavours, build independence, and develop healthy habits that last.
We focus on:

Allergies & Dietary Needs
Every child deserves to feel safe and included at mealtimes.
Our team works closely with parents to support allergies, intolerances, cultural diets, and individual food preferences. Once we understand your child’s needs, we’ll create suitable alternatives and put clear safeguards in place across the nursery.
We also ensure:
• All dietary needs are logged and shared with relevant staff
• Colour-coded allergy systems are used in the kitchen and rooms
• Menus can be adapted wherever needed
• Ongoing communication between parents and key staff
